In this talk, the speaker shall discuss their recent discovery on the localization and geometrization phenomena in wave scattering as well as the corresponding applications in invisibility cloaking, wave imaging and metamaterials.

报告人简介:

刘宏宇，香港浸会大学教授、数学系副主任，国际著名反问题专家，主要从事反问题成像、数学材料科学、PDE、动力系统几何积分子、数值分析和科学计算等领域的研究。刘教授兼职为香港研究资助局会评专家、香港政府博士生奖学金项目遴选委员会专家、国际反问题协会东亚分会秘书等，为Inverse Problems and Imaging 、Journal of Korean Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics 、Contemporary Analysis and Applied Mathematics国际SCI期刊的副主编。 刘教授获得Calderon Prize（2017）、MediaV Young Researcher Prize（2016）。 刘教授在SIAM系列、Inverse Problems、Journal of the European Mathematical Society、Journal de Mathematiques Pures etAppliquees、Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal.、Comm. Math. Phys.、J. F. A.等国际顶级期刊上发表80多篇论文(其中有多篇被Editorial Highlights) 。
